I'm Kell Zwart, executive chef at Broadway Utrecht, with twenty years in professional kitchens. On my evenings off, I cook at your home in Amsterdam and the surrounding region. No catering, no menu for your guests to choose from: one considered menu, made for your evening, everything included, and the kitchen left spotless.
Who cooks for you
I've worked in professional kitchens for twenty years, from sous chef at the Royal Tropical Institute to executive chef at Broadway Utrecht today. Classic technique, global flavours, seasonal ingredients. At the table, you're the host. I work quietly in the background.
What I do
Private dining, not catering. There's one clear menu that I put together for your evening, not a list for your group to choose from. I do the shopping, arrive well over an hour ahead, serve at the table, and leave the kitchen spotless. Everything is included: ingredients, pans, plates and cutlery. One price per person, agreed up front.
Pricing
Dinner or lunch at the table, 4 to 30 guests, 3 to 6 courses: €95 to €140 p.p. with standard ingredients, €115 to €170 p.p. with premium ingredients, depending on the number of courses. A walking dinner for 18 to 30 guests is €95 p.p. for 7 small dishes, everything included. Minimum €500 per evening. Children up to 12 years: €35 per child. Outside Amsterdam, fixed travel zones apply: €25 / €50 / €75 / €100, depending on distance.
How it works

You send a request with your date, number of guests and flavour preferences.

I reply within 24 hours and we agree on the menu together.

Once you're happy with it, the booking is confirmed with a 30% deposit via iDEAL.

You pay the rest on the evening itself.
Frequently asked questions
Can you work around dietary requirements?
Yes. Vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, an allergy: let me know when we talk through the menu, and I'll adjust it.
What if my kitchen is small?
A working stove and a small oven are enough. We discuss what's in your kitchen beforehand, so I can prepare for it.
Who cleans up afterwards?
I do. Dishes, counters, the stove, the floor where needed. You can stay seated with your guests.
What if I need to cancel?
Up to 14 days ahead, you get the full deposit back. Between 14 and 7 days, 50%. Within 7 days there's no refund, but a different date is almost always possible if my schedule allows. For groups of 18 guests or more, 21 days applies instead of 14 (and 50% between 21 and 10 days), since I buy ingredients earlier and in larger quantities for those evenings.
Is there a minimum group size?
Dinner or lunch at the table starts at 4 guests, up to 30. A walking dinner runs from 18 to 30 guests. Smaller group? Email me and I'll see what's possible.
How far ahead do I need to request a date?
The request form asks for a date at least 7 days out. Need something sooner? Email me and I'll see what I can do.
